I picked up this WW2-era Ocean Spray Cranberry Sauce advertising bank because it was neat, and the price was great.
When I got it home and opened it up, there was a big surprise in it:
The bottom was made from an old sign.
I'd not seen them use old metal before in making a new bank. The old sign used in the bottom was for some kind of oil made from a seed. Perhaps Flax. Who knows.
No coins, but a neat find in a neat find.
Now to find a sign.
Good stash .
These would make a great collection, from hundreds of companies. I have one in Dog Food too.
here is mine!

That's pretty cool.
I'd like to see your dog food bank, SpiritBear. Love Ocean Spray Cranberry Sauce, this is the coolest bank, seeing those old recipes tickles me! :)
I'm glad you liked it.
