    Hi CW Gang:

My new little gift to myself. I likes the shape of it with the small bulbous rim near the bottom of the bowl. Is this Unique?? OR not ?? I believe Welz Czech Art Glass -- but then I will wait for any input those who have studied this Maker more than me.....LOL.

Cute little Bowl. Anyone know a date made roughly ?

Thanks for LOOKING // LOVING !!!!

To be quite frank I don't this would be a unique piece of Franz Welz.

Thanks VET -- yeah I have seen this 3 legged bowls like this ( have one ), but I have not seen one with the **Bulbous lower part ** around the base ( just above the legs there ). So I was wondering if that Shape ( the bulbous part ) was different than the norm?

Snap, antiquerose, I have its twin!

Sorry, correction! Whilst the shape and the leg colour is identical, the spatter on mine is slightly different. Mine has red/orange/yellow in the flaring rim and cream only in the bulbous lower part. Hadn't seen it for a while!

      I agree - ID Welz.

My best guess would be Ruckl, not Welz.

Rose, am following the news in Canada closely. I hope no one you know has been affected, and that this situation will soon be under control.

The GUESS at Rückl above, the most common and frequent attribution shift by a single individual for Welz pieces in this forum, would seem once again, to be mistaken.

The following image link will provide some visual evidence suggesting instead, that the piece here is neither Welz or Rückl, but in fact may actually be Kralik.

I will let readers make up their own minds.

My "guess" at Ruckl isn't really a guess but is based upon the a Tango glass exhibition organized by glass museum of Novy Bor. The author of the exhibition is a specialist in the history of glass production Jitka Ln?ni?ková. The marbled decor on this shape (comment 10) closely matches the marbled decor on display as Ruckl. The link I provided in comment 10 has the information.

It is a product of the Franz Tomschick glassworks - circa 1935.
