I saw the item on ebay and i am interested on it.
But i am confused about the logo and the style. The logo shows it is form 18 century, the style looks like empire style. They donot match .
Can some people help me to indentify it is genuine or fake?
I want to post more pictures ,but the website doesnot allow me.
Pingping to post more pics you will need to do a second post.
Beautiful set !
Unfortunately, this is not authentic Sevres. Letter ``A`` would mean 1753. ``Sevres style`` porcelain was made by many factories in Germany, Austria and France throughout 19th. century. But it`s nice and hand painted. I have discussed it here:
http://www.collectorsweekly.com/stories/53173-sevres-style-french-porcelain-box
A genuine Sèvres cup and saucer mid 18th century sells at 6,500 GBP.
Early 8-piece 19th century Empire Sevres Dejeuner is estimated at $100,000- 150,000.
Is the seller on eBay going to buy a new house?
Thank Ivan49 and racer4four.
Could Ivan49 tell which year is from and how valuable it is ?
I think it was made in 19th century, more probably mid or late 19th century.
I do not buy porcelain anymore and cannot tell the exact value. There are 7 pieces in the set; there should be 6 cups and saucers in a complete set. I suppose $700 would be fair for a buyer, a seller might try with $ 1000 and see what happens.
Depends whether you really like and want it. I would rather spend money on something with proven provenance.
Regards

I do understand you. Most of us do the same buying famous brands and designers, fortunately, in most cases good design and quality go together. But in matters of taste, there can be no disputes. Anyway, my advice is to buy what you really like and what`s beyond any doubt regarding the maker, factory etc.
