These miniature hexagonal vases are probably my favourite Welz pieces. This one is in the décor known as Pink and Green Aventurine, though my pictures have failed to capture the sparkle of the aventurine. The pink and green are however nicely balanced on this piece.
This décor mostly appears on the more ornate Welz from the Victorian period though this shape, because of its angularity, would seem typical of the Art Deco period. Thus it's difficult to date this piece.
Image four shows it with another that has a décor from the Victorian period and one with a décor from the Art Deco period. The shapes vary slightly.

That's meant to say well done for finding it but the predictive text decided other :)
Very nice. Great trio!
Thank you, scott, for you continuing enthusiasm.
Thank you, Anne, for your lovely comment. As to the predictive text thing, enjoy it....I do. Sometimes what it comes up with is hilarious and sometimes it merely gives you a sense of superiority over a machine!
Thank you, Karen, unfortunately these are thin on the ground!
I'm immovabely seduced by this green and pink aventurine.Lovely!
Thank you so much, Ivonne. Perhaps I may say that although it's called pink and green aventurine better pictures on my part would have shown that only the green has the aventurine sparkle.
This reminds me of my Arabia luster ware vases!!

Hi, SEAN I totally get what you are saying. I'd probably say that your beautiful blue/yellow/white Arabia lustre ware vases remind me of some Welz spatters :)
