This is another example of a small circular asteroid Micro Mosaic brooch.
The collection in this field is extensive. Beautiful antique cabinet where it is all stored has been already too small. Perhaps it is time to stop once to collect. But it is a kind of addiction. Whenever I get a nice Micro Mosaic of Pietra Dura ornament or article see I'm trying to get it back.

Really like the shape of that first mosaic brooch pictured. What a great collection! If I lived anywhere near you I'd want to visit!
I have a few pieces, too, but nothing so good as that collection.
I'm also very fond of the horseshoe shape brooch. Wish I could find one like that, but vintage pieces are hard to com by where I live.

Marga, those horseshoe brooches aren't as beautiful as yours, as a matter of fact, that one you own is the one I favor because of the lovely dove. Many of your pieces feature birds, which make them even more delightful. :)
katherinecollections I know that's why I have one but the first with forget me not flowers is also beautiful and not so "common". Sometimes a brooch like mine passes I will be alert and let it know to Baylou when I see one of that kind.
