These were first made in 1880 and the company was out of business in 1980. Examples like this are generally considered to be around 100 years although I am not sure about that. The style looks to be pre 1930s with the black paint with gold trim popular from the turn of the century until 1930.
Note that the coffee mill has brackets for mounting on a wall. Also the bates rotates for optional wall mounting. The countertop mounting does seem a bit more steady.
There was a catch basin which doubles as dust cover which is missing with this piece.
We had a Spong meat mincer when I was a kid.
I remember bouncing around chanting Spong Spong Spong - I still love saying it.
"SPONG!" - what a wet tennis ball sounds like bouncing off the pavement...
