I bought this at a estate auction. Its a Seth Thomas wood works mantel clock, its 34.25' tall and 17.5' wide. not sure what the wood is made of.
Not sure of the year, I got every thing from 1830 to 1850. I cant find much on it or not looking in the right place. any input would be appreciated.

A beautiful label. Go to the bottom of the case label and look for small printing Elihu Geer printer. The address is the dating method. He changed addresses every few years and that tells the date. Post it here and I'll try to find the dates. Usually within two years. Or go to Google Search : Elihu Geer NAWCC forum and research for the address dates.

Looking at the label again. Is the label torn off at the bottom just below the right hole ? That is where it should say HUDSON & SKINNER . Their dates were 1825 to 1839 . I base this on examples of other labels at Google image .

I'll leave the dating to slackjack since he's working with you. I'll just add that the clock's case style is called "Column and Splat". It's a very early Seth Thomas as he started out apprenticing with Eli Terry. See the Collectors Weekly history here: http://www.collectorsweekly.com/clocks/seth-thomas
Very nice! Thank you for sharing it with us and welcome to Collectors Weekly!

Hi slackjack, I see what your talking about the hole takes out part of the word country. it reads, rest assured that clocks made in this factory are equal if not superior to any made in this country. I looked it over last night it doesn't have a printers name, or its gone like you say.
