Just interested in this old lamp. For some reason it sparked my curiosity and was hoping someone out there was more knowledgeable than I am about it

Probably early 1970's. I have a set my father had which was dated on the table lamp. Most of the hanging ones were not dated. Most used a mesh cylinder over the bulb which was a beautiful way to diffuse the light, but yours seems more substantial, the diffusion technique.
