This display piece of brilliant cut crystal or glass belonged to my mother who purchased it around 1969. My father bought it for her as an anniversary present and investment as he claimed the owner stated it was museum quality brilliant cut glass tray with insets. To that end, her children were not allowed to get anywhere near the display for fear of damaging the investment. My mother and father have passed away and the piece has been passed to me. Can anyone help me identify this piece or pieces? Let me know if you need any more information than the following:
Museum Quality Brilliant Cut Crystal or Glass Relish Tray
Large 7 Part Divided insets with large holding tray underneath
Design is Stars, X's and Waffle Cut
Perfect Condition with No Chips or Cracks - maybe a magnifying glass would tell me differently as I am not the best judge of cut glass and what is considered a chip or actually cutting.
Measures 16" Long x 11" Wide
Wrong page for your stuff. This page is for American Brilliant Cut Glass only. Sorry to say, the dealer who sold this to your dad had no clue what so ever as to what he was selling. Pieces like this were never cut by any American cut glass company. Hope your dad did not put much money into this.
