Does any one have an idea of the value of this item
Looks to be about 1963 version. Seems to have lost the color.Never seen one without color. Had Brit cars since 1993, Rover cars, MGs etc. I am guessing it is acrylic type of plastic over metal painted backing. they were two piece assembly and did manage to come loose. Mine had the two parts 2-sided taped together after countless times coming loose. Have one still from my 1970 p6 3500s. Emblem would be P6 model only from 1963 till about 1974 when grill changed to plastic honeycomb style. Good on 2000 sc, tc and 2200 and 3500 models. Value, probably pretty low if in North America. Could barely sell the cars and very few survive. Plenty of these in UK. Be lucky to sell probably.
You can disregard the entire comment from me earlier. On my cell it looked like grill badge. Clearly now I can see it is a massive sign and is way more important and Valuable. Can't tell from pic if it is 3 dimentonal and could light up or if it is flat metal, Great sign and would sell pretty fast at auction these days.My guess , seeing how the original post is 5 years old, is that the sign could be anywhere now, and craignixon may be off page. Cool anyhow.
