    Rainbow Oil Spot Favrile American Glass Paperweight. Rainbow colors with black dots. Measures 2 3/4 height 2 3/4 wide. Very high quality craftsmanship. A wonderful addition to my paperweight collection.

      This is not an American paperweight. "Oil spot" is not a real design description. It is not Favrile or by Tiffany. This is a typical Murano paperweight from Venice, Italy, circa 1970s. Somewhere foen the line, somebody thought it was by Tiffany, but it isn't. Tiffany did not make glass paperweights. Some collectors and dealers call this a "ladybug" design. Regardless, the bottom line is that it's from Murano. There are hundreds upon hundreds of these around the world.
