The brown neck has a coppery sparkle in it - similar to an old one i own from Holland. I don't think that this is very old, but it is very pretty. particularly the colors. no legible markings on it. it stands 4.5" tall.

I think it is Older.......Note the crazing in the glaze ( the cracks ) helps to show Age

Didn't TECO use some Sparkle ( aventurine ) in some pieces?? That would be an older piece too

I was thinking W Germany at first, Schneider but then you said sparkle and I also looked at the bottom. W. Germany, at least from the 50's on signed their pieces. I also have one with speckles all through it, very hard to photograph and catch what you are seeing. I think mine is newer. Your's does have a lot of crazing in it. Does that always mean it's older? Wow, I just took a closer look at it and it sure has a lot of depth to it! I bet it is older too. Really pretty!

i'm 99% certain that this piece is Japanese from the 60s-90s. they used a lot of interesting glaze innovations including crackling, sparkling etc... i've got about 5-6 of them and each is one of my best pieces of pottery - even without a named artist, but THOSE GLAZES!
