Stands 10 inches tall. Cobalt blue salt glazed, decorated with winged goddess type figures. I bought it recently from a car boot sale- just caught my eye. Could anyone tell me any more about this, I think it may be German but I'm not sure.

This is beautiful. I live 15 minutes from Germany and see hundreds of salt glaze mugs and whatnot, but have never seen this particular design. Didn't find another on the web, either.

Thanks Efesgirl, you can see why it caught my eye. Having same trouble finding anything on the web. If you haven't seen anything with this design in Germany, do you think it could be Belgian?

I'm also 15 minutes drive from Belgium. Haven't seen this design anywhere, yet...but now I will be looking for it when I see salt glazed pottery!

I've been told today that this is Westerwald Pottery.

Here's the link to the Westerwald Ceramic Museum. Email them the photos and see what they think.
