Excellent condition 1:50 scale rare Hubley. It is from the 'Real Types' line of Hubley diecast made in Canada. Models were cast by Burslem Industries, Rexdale ,Ontario around 1960. Molds were sold to Hubley and production continued in Canada as Hubley 'Real Types, and in the USA market as Hubley 'Real Toys. Model is 3 1/4 inches long, and is a later production with rubber tires on steel rims and window glazing. The first production models had no window glazing and had grey metal? wheel/tires much like a grey wheel Lesney/Matchbox style but of coarse larger.

Borrowed this text from a toy database as I am too lazy to type it all. :)

Another direction around 1960, was Hubley's pre-assembled Real Toys line (called Real Types in Canada). The Canadian versions had different model numbers and were manufactured in Canada but there are examples of Canadian products in American packaging and vice versa. The new line was unsuccessful and is believed to have been abandoned in 1961. It's suggested that production continued in Canada under a new brand after Hubley dropped them.

These cars were about 1:55-1:60 scale and measured approximately 31?4 inches long. They were intended to compete with the recent introduction of Corgi & Dinky to America. Real Toys generally had no interiors, but detail and body proportions were accurate.
