A friend was cleaning out her Mother's place and found this tool and we haven't found anyone who knows what it is. Patented in 1916. Thanks for any help.

Can you give the measurements. Is their a patent date or number ?
    2. jansm51, 8 years ago
I think it's about 2 feet long. There is the patent date of 1916, but no number.

I'm at a loss right now but we have members who never cease to surprise me. 2 ft. length makes me think it is for something at foot level.

I've never seen anything like this before....Patent date of 1916 ???? Nothing was said about being exposed to heat or water, ect. COULD it be a shoe horn for putting on riding boots or tall Knee leather boots ???? Just throwing that out there....
