Super rare, the only example of this vase ever seen , and will be photographed for the new Ravelli book coming up soon. Mid Century Modern Vase by Jaap Ravelli. Bottom is marked Ravelli 64. It is made from a tan clay with a white glaze, in a figural shape with a standing native . It is 39 cm tall. It appears to be an unrecorded design , first time i have seen this one in the 10 plus years i have been collecting Jaap Ravelli. This vase is not even in the Ravelli collection in Holland

great vase...i met jaap ravelli in an antiques center [de looier] in amsterdam where he was selling some of his pottery,he said he did that to make a world journee.i hope he made it because he was already pretty old if i remember well 80 or 90 years old,this was about 20 years ago .anyway i bought a unique piece from him [a giraffe] unsigned and forgot to ask if he would sign it but it is true i saw a lot of ravellis work but dont recall your vase very nice.promise to look up the giraffe and post it when i find the time
