This is 5-3/4" across the top. And approx. 2-1/2 " tall and deep. It is amber in color with a solid blue ring encased in it.
Almost all but one google search that I have found refers to these as: Vintage Murano geode ashtrays. I read on CW's Vetraio50 (check out his posts because he is amazing) post, that geode is flat so this is not a geode. It does not have wells for a cigarette but this beauty has been well used. When held to the light it looks really bad but just looking at it on a table looks fine.
Looks violet from the side and the blue ring completely disappears under black light.
Would love to hear any thoughts on this.
    Thanks for looking. :)

Stunning piece. Looks to be Murano Art Glass, MOO *. Kinda reminds me of
something made by Renato Anatra ( murano glass maker ) when it does not have the cig rests, but that is just a GUESS as I think that work is always signed by them.....but I could be wrong, as maybe not everything was signed ????

I agree probably Murano and not a geode. Geodes are named so because the glass is very flat on the top edge so you can clearly see the glass layers, just as you would on a rock geode.
Anyway, it is a great piece of glass. I laughed at your description bedpan shape....I have never heard a glassie call a piece of their glass that shape before!! Still smiling over it!!!

Ivonne, I understand because I wish it could tell me it's stories.
Rose, it looks like you identified my first piece of Murano.? Even a maybe makes me feel all warm and fuzzy. Woo Hoo!! Your links were amazing but the fact the you recognize the artist is just crazy to me. I was wondering about no signature also but it's mine now. Thank you!!
Karen, LOL. ;) I seriously cannot think of a more fitting description but I'm open here. I think you and Rose need to help me with a title. ;)
      Thanks Thomas!!

@ GF -- LOL, well it ain't no bed pan !!

Murano Art Glass Bowl is what it is. I am not sure totally (at all ) if that is the Murnao Furance that made it, but tried to throw out some ideas. I could be in left field as figuring out a murano maker ID is next to impossible a lot of times!!

Great Bowl -- and I LOVE THE WAY you have it displayed in the Stand !!

Thank you Rose. I changed the title. ;) Funny you mention the stand as I have had it forever and have no idea where it came from. Thanks again for all the info!! ;) :):)
