This is one of my favorite odds its got the right amount of attitude about. This British made van is Just over an inch in length with red sliding side doors and a little silver man in the drivers seat who kinda looks like a robot.
Made out of metal with thin solid plastic wheels and green chipped paint on its body giving it an almost I won! time lost! feel to it.
This piece was made in the 1960's by the Huskey brand which was part of the Corgey brand which was made by Mettoy Playcraft Ltd now long defunct.
The history of die cast toy cars is quite a complicated one If you want something to read on some rainy day or just have time on your hands google the history of matchbox your butt may go numb. I bought this with several other toy cars from the 80, 70,s and 60,s from the thrift shop up the street I'm not much in to toy cars but this one is going to stay in the collection it feels like it belongs among the things that I found.
