    Hi CW Gang:

I just got this the other day in some odds and Ends. Is it a Stop Watch? Any idea of year? I tried to take the back off, but all that screw does it turn the hand around -- so HOW does one open this up??

plus there is a Brass looking thing on the back for measurement in Feet?? So I am thinking either a Stop watch or Air Gauge ? ......or I do not know

Thanks for LOOKING // LOVING !!

Think it might be for timing horses .

I would think a tape measure or possible "Ped-O-Meter" of sorts, not a watch or air gauge, but would like to know how long tape is

I'm with kerry on this one. The screw on the back should re-set it.

Thanks -- I want to take the back off it to see it it says anything, but I can't get it open. The brass thing does not come very far -- and not flexible or anything, just straight.

Should I try to get into it....Like pry the edge a bit and see what happens?

The horse thing makes a bit of sense as they do work out Race horses a lot of times in the 1/4 times...but do not know if that is what it is

      MYSTERY ITEM ......LOL

@KERRY -- just tried googling the words on it, and it looks like YOU may be right as here is something similar....Vintage PEDOMETER.

Thanks for that lead -- as it directed me here. I think my mystery is actually solved. Maybe that link above says what the little brass measurement if for ??

Hey Rose. Pretty sure the little tape measure is to set the length of your stride!
    9. Moochman, 8 years ago
Yes it is a pedometer and the brass gauge you set to your stride 1 to 3 feet.
