I'm looking at the detail and noticing that's a really old knife! Way older than I thought. The marking on it are so cool. Have U dated it yet? This could possibly be 1600s or earlier you think? What a really great find! Very intriguing.. you never know could be some kind of bone? Oh my lil brain is going on this piece... good luck hun hope you figure it out. I will surf the web a bit for you also.. what does the end of blade look like?

Mammoth tusk. It is ivory.. found a pic with info.. I blew up the detail and their is a spot of turquoise in there and the momath tusk also is wrapped in turquoise color. I think K it is ivory.. I think U may have a piece of a mammoth there. Anyways. I know nothing bout this stuff but that's my opinion.. Mammoth tusk.. have you seen and read that option already? Have you ruled that out if so as a possibility?

@CrystalPelous - Thanks for the comments. I am not sure that it is that old as I did find something similar like this. The handle is different in these but the blades are kinda the same. Here is the link:

Again, I am not sure of what the handle is of mine ~ as even at MY age ~ I am always still learning. I thought it was just neat looking. the Quest will continue !!
