Efteling officially opened on 31 May 1952. I don't normally collect things from Efteling, but this might be a vintage piece. I did not find any photos of this on the web, so I sent a mail to Efteling to see if they can tell me how the age of this plaque. There is a tiny bit of damage to the left hand corner, where the scroll is - no matter. It will soon be hung on my wall to be enjoyed.
Unfortunately, I heard from Efteling and nobody there can tell me the age of this plaque. The "AP" in the corner stands for Anton Pieck, who created much of the artwork for Efteling. So, I will comb the internet to see if I can find this image.
:-))
UPDATE: I sent photos to the Anton Pieck Museum, where images from Efteling are kept. Nobody there knows anything about my plaque. I sent photos to Efteling here in Kaatsheuvel, Netherlands - THEY don't know anything about my plaque, either!!
UN-believable...!! I must have an uncatalogued Efteling souvenir....
Thanks for looking/loving, CW friends!

Much like vintage knives, Bonnie. The knife can have all the hallmarks, but not even the company that made the knife can tell you precisely when they made the dang thing! [;>)))
NB - I gave it another shot and wrote to a museum which has Anton Pieck drawings. I even looked on a website which has drawings by him made especially for Efteling, and it wasn't there, either.
It is on the cute side!!
Cute!
Of course I had to look up the park and it looks lots better than some.
Paper globbing - yep, that's me!
Wow what a find :)
