So I found this little sculpture, 5" tall, no markings. Have no clue who made it, when, where. The white stuff on the base is dried hard, like putty or oil paint and there's a bit of it on the face. I wanted to share this with the CW community. Thanks for looking.
STUNNING!!
I could look at this for hours on end...... seriously. Reminds me of a girlfriend I had in high school. ; P
Nevada, it reminds me of her too ! LOL !! My parents brought 2 heads that looked a lot like this back from Mexico in the very early 50's. They were Mayan or Aztec I'm sure & they didn't show hair.

Thank you for the compliment, Sean, always welcome. :)
NB, thank you, I'm glad if it brings back good memories. :)
BB2, interesting thought about it being from Mexico, while this does have a similar look to primitive stone sculpture, as you say some of the elements seem to indicate it is contemporary.
The 2 I had were definitely fired clay & nothing close to being new.
The bottom's really cute!

I'm very happy you love it, Ken, thank you! :)
The hairline and nose length are interesting. Male, female, child? Well, shoot the piece is interesting. :)
Thanks for the love, OneGoodFind, and Trey. :)
OGF, yeah, I have no clue except the hair bun indicates female. It is interesting, isn't it? Wish I knew! :)
