    my dad found this item when he was digging in the garden some time back and as i can under stand by looking at it ,it looks like a old bullet but as no cap at the end of it to be fired so thinking that it may be a lighter but can not open it to so it as the name tokalo london engraved on it and it is made of like a brass metal any feed back on this would be most great full

      Im betting that end will screw off?? Kind of reminds Me of a little Antique Bullet sewing kit.

      Put a hair dryer to the seam to heat it up rather than a flame or throw it in a hot pot hot water...or spray it with wd 40...lol but no flames....boom...

      Dizzy may well be right, but it also resembles WWI trench lighters. Those, I believe, were usually a snug fit instead of screw off.

      I'm not all that familiar with trench lighters. I never tried to smoke a "trench".
