40's Jewellery from my late grandmother and one of my favorite pieces is the chromed sterling silver marcasite lyrebird brooch. The carved cameo shell bracelet and matching brooch is silver lined-I am unsure what the numbers on the back of the clasp relate to?Could it mean silver gilt?
Hi Betty, the marks on the bracelet are 9ct silver lined......which means made of silver with thin sheet of 9ct gold over the top......very nice Australian piece! Love the birds too.
Thanks Tassiedevil :)!it is very pretty I like the cartouches- they add a richness to the bracelet
Love the brooch as well.... so nice to have beautiful family pieces....
And treasured memories:)
thought I was reading three numbers on the back of the bracelet!! What a dill I am ....need my eyes checked????
Not at all Betty.....it is a bit awkward when the 9ct stamp is sideways to the silver lined and has those little underline marks as well!!!
just lovely.............
Thanks TassisDevil:)

I stumbled across your post. We have the cameo bracelet . Any suggestions on how to clean it.
I would really love any information on the bracelets background and where it was made.
Thanks
