    I got this at the local flea market looks old to me. Could it be a lamp from the railway? Looked up the hardware co that is on it. Do they have dates on them some where?

      Not an oil lamp per se but commonly called a Lantern. Some do have dates but most do not. You can probably look up this lantern online since the information is on the oil font. The globes were usually made by other companies...like dietz. I would guess the date is late 1800's-early 1900's. RER(BOB)
