found this at Goodwill today. It appears to be Gouda from Holland, but i was very surprised that the base looks like it had been cut - as if it were part of a lamp or something w/ a pole in the middle. it is almost 4" across and 3.5" tall.

It is a little hard to say anything im completely stumped. It kinda looks Caribbean color wise.

I don't think this is Gouda, but something that might be trying to be Gouda. Probably was a lamp base once upon a time.
Japanese faux Gouda lamp base?
It would make a great glass eye holder.
most likely gouda but why someone cut off the base is hard to find out...
