I previously posted a few "before" pics of this cleaver. The new handle scales are being carved out of some old oak from a discarded pallet. I am not sure of the finish yet.
The hammer marks on the back of the blade are being reduced with a file and plenty of elbow grease.
I understand that the edge is supposed to be rounded. Is this the proper shape? I have the hood open I may as well fix it all.
