A metal license plate that belonged to Cornell David Ahren. He was the commanding officer of the Vulcan air artillery battalion throughout the Vietnam war, and was also the generals aid. On one side of the plate there is a C O which meant the commanding officer was in the vehicle. On the other side of the plate, there are two stars which mean a two star general was in the vehicle with him. They would flip the plate depending on who was inside the vehicle. Cornell David Ahern was my husbands Grandfather. When he passed, this was given to him. My husband was very fond of his Grandpa, and his memorabilia is very special to him.
GREAT Vietnam item!
