A Kellogg wall phone with what appears to be a period correct ish dialer added by carving out a hole in the table.
The crank has long been removed, I'm guessing during installation of the dialer, way back when.
I love the joints on the wood cabinet.
I'm thinking that this may be a home style conversion. Maybe not even so long ago. About 15 yrs. ago, I took parts of an old wooden phone & made it to work as a land line. Nostalgia of the bells sound. I rigged orig. parts with a dial mech. which you could open the front if you wanted to dial out. Just a guess. Maybe old conversion or maybe not so old.
I agree looks to have been converted with original parts although the cutout in the shelf for the dialer ages this conversion quite a bit. I would guess by the age of the wood cutout, the looks of it, and the style of wiring that was added maybe dates this conversion to 1930s 1940s. I'll try to add a pic of the inside wiring and the cutout for the dialer and we can speculate a bit further. Thanks for the comments!
Looks like 1910 meets 1940. To post your photos right side up use a computer and not a mobile device.
thanks fortapache that was my guess also. and yes i figured out the sideways photo dilemma, they weren't sideways when I took them. I'll try to fix them...
