A sad tale about this one. At the antique mall I was able to open this up with no problem. But sadly when I got it home and tried to set it up I made a mistake and it ripped apart causing me much anguish. Possibly because it was made December 6th 1921. That may be a patent date but it is very old regardless. Using masking tape I was able to get it back together although I think it needs more work with some assistance.
A unique feature about this screen is that it folds out directly from the carrying case to make a 40" x 31" screen. There is no stand. One needs to have a table under it.
Now I need to get some vintage slides. Will probably need a less fragile screen too.
Oh - despair! Must have been good for one more opening only.
I'm sure you will bring it to life again.
