I only know it came from Japan and into my hands and have had it many years.. It had belonged to my children's grandmother who is from there. I don't know much of it. It has writing on back and it has what appears to be two pearls and the picture I think is made up of some type of shell? The stork has a pearl on its face and another down below. Also the eye on the stark is blood red.. I am very curious to what rocks, shells or what it is this beautiful work was created with. Really beautiful art. Any ideas?

Thanks!! .. Yes you are actually spot on with how this piece got here. She married a US soldier and came to live here after the war. I am left with all these things and haven't a clue what they are. I,m trying to find out what all this stuff is. :) Thank you so much! One down and many more to go! :)
