What size is this? Looks like the kind of merchandise my mother used to sell in her Japanese gift shop. [;>)
hi Nevada.
it's 3" across and 2" tall.
Then, based on its size, I'd say that this is a tea cup. A little too small to serve Miso soup. Miso soup, besides, is normally served in a lacquered bowl, typically 4-1/2" across X 2-1/4" high. The smallest lacquered Miso bowl I've seen is 4" across X 3" high. The Mrs. has several of both. She just told me right now that your tea cup, though not a true Sake cup, can be, and often is, used to drink Sake. But Miso soup, no. That is served, or should be served, in a wee bit larger lacquered bowl. [;>)
thank you Nevada!
