    I found a bunch of incredible vintage ties -- most of them from Italy. I will post a few.
    I was really taken by the artistry of the silk weaving. This one is by Fendi and has this very elaborate stormy scene. The fabric amazes me because the design is brought ought by the texture as well as the color.

      In Japan, there are crafts classes sponsored by city governments where they teach you how to make many handcrafts. My wife learned how to make handcrafted neckties. They looked so professionally done that I wore them to work during the 10 years we lived in Japan, and no one was the wiser! [;>)
