Think this is a modern Greek Fruit Bowl with Hoplites on it. Some colors on it are Browns, yellows, reds and cream colors, I am not sure but think its ceramic. Beautiful piece for sure!

Just a gorgeous piece of work.

This is a modern fruit bowl most likely from Greece, judging from the decoration.

I agree with Efesgirl. This is probably a modern Greek make and with the Hoplites that way, probably only for export or tourists.

Thank you guys! I know this piece was bought 35-40 years ago. My children's father left an attic full from when he traveled all over the would while working on the National Geographic ships. And bought things from every country he went , which is almost every one.. And his mother left behind a lot of things also that was brought from Japan right after WW2. I am wanting to give a lot of this stuff to goodwill but first need to find out what everything is and if they are important or special enough to keep so can pass down to my girls or if it should be donated.. Thank you for the info this has helped a great deal . One less piece I have to research for 2 or three days just to figure out a name of what it is. Now I can just go straight to it and read up on it without it taking days! I have been researching 4 days now on another piece I just can not find so this really was so very helpful beyond words :) ! Greatly Appreciated! mwuah! xo thank you, thank you, thank you :)
