    I can read JA(?) on the front of the handle where it attaches to this fancy iron, which has a lady watering a large pot of flowers on it.

    I'd like to know:
    Age, where it was made, scarcity.

      I will go with around 1870 or earlier as that is when the irons with removable handles came about. I'm thinking you already searched the net for info. I don't know anything about this one off the top of my head. My educated guess is 1860.

      Yes, agree with fortapache. This is a Victorian era flat iron.

      Not possible to tell you where it was made, as these were mass produced.
