It is wooden, one sliding door on top.
, carvings on front, held together with 4 large wooden dowels.
About 5 ft long and 40" tall.
One front, one back panel, two sides and 4 dowels. One flat sliding door flat on top
Are those "ears" on the back side made so this "thing" can be attached to a wall ? Thinking maybe from a bateau.
Thanks for your comments, the front has hand carved images of a bird, horse with a rider, a deer or cow.
What appears to be handles are part of the front and back panels hand cut to shape.
The dowels that hold it together are hand carves about 1"by 1" x 5" long.
The sliding panel is 1 ft wide by the depth of the cabinet. That is the only opening to get into the cabinet. No other doors.
The wood it is made from is over 2 " thick.
It appears someone made it with a chisel and hammer.
Weighs about 160 pounds (est).
Hard to get a 3d impression from 1 straight on shot. Looks like it is open on top, yet you say it has a sliding door there. Unless you show some more distinct pix, I'm not going to mess with trying. You are allowed 4 pix.
I failed to notice the option of 4 pics. Thanks for letting me know.
i think it's a granary of some type. i have seen this kind of carving before, but can't remember where i saw it.
