This object was found in a box of items from an estate. It is stamped San Francisco Exposition 1915. There is a cabachon sapphire blue colored stone on one end. I think it is silver? Is it perhaps a watch setting tool? I have no idea.

At that time, pencils were often made to be worn on a chatelaine or a watch chain and therefore, needed to blend in and look like jewelry. This particular pencil may have been sold or given away at the Exposition as a souvenir.
