This vase has a pleasing shape enhanced by delicate lines and deep red spiky spots. Image four shows it with another example of the décor. The wall of the vase is much thinner than the wall of the rose bowl and therefore looks much paler when lit by sunlight.

I'm pleased you like it enough to comment.

Thank you, the colour is subtler than usual for Welz.....

lol I'm going to hold you accountable
Sklo, what a beauty! This decor is always a special one; I haven't seen this shape before, and together they are a wonderful combination. And your pictures are terrific, too!
What is great about this pair is that the fact that the unique decor on both example matches. The left hand one is a shape (9054) documented in Welz production literature from 1928, leaving absolutely no doubt as to the origins and maker of the other piece.
Michelle, thank you. It was a delight to find something Art Deco Welz that wasn't a rosebowl for once :)
Come to think of it, Craig, I've a few 9054s that can now be identified as such :)
Genuine appreciation and many thanks for the 'loves'.
marvelous all this pieces and sets
Thank you kivatinitz for the comment and the interest you show in my glass.
Hi Peggy, What a lovely decor, so I've only seen in it photos. Both of these are beauties.
Hi, Vintagefran, they look better alone.....they get rather overshadowed by the vivid Art Deco colours they mix with!
Peggy, I just miss your two, or you miss mine for completing this beautiful duo.
Absolutely lovely.
Regards
Alan
