I havent't posted for a while and was really glad that my next post will resemble to the previous one.
Unfortunetely a parcel was a mess not only outside but also inside.
Just thin bubbles and two sheet of creased paper weren't enough to protect glass.
On top of everything it was to be my name day present.
Today isn't a good day to me at all...
this is where i'd insert a sad emoji for you Ivonne! i'm sorry!
Yes,I did.
Thanks,ho2cultcha,for your sympathy...
You may be able to get your money back if you used a credit card. Contact the seller first and show pictures. That's terrible!
PayU.Luck in a disaster I didn't pay much.It was a really bargain.
Oooooh noooooo, I'm so sorry Ivonne, that's too bad. :(
If you bought it on eBay you can get your money partially refunded for the broken bits.
I'm so sorry Ivonne, what a horrible thing to happen. :>((
I've only had one broken piece of glass before, but not in little pieces like yours - mine was just a clear break of the stem.
They wanted a picture of the packaging as well as the broken item. Very nice Etsy vendor refunded shipping and item cost. (PayPal)
Hi Katherine, I don't think eBay refunds anything unless a "case" against the vendor is opened. It's the vendor who refunds item cost, and in Yvonne's case, shipping costs as well as it was so badly packaged. Yvonne's in Poland so don't know about purchasers way of paying.
Thank you all for your comments. You know, here it has to be a huge argument to get money back so I won't go into it.Two stems probably can be sticked. They won't be valuable of course but they will please my eye.
That picture makes me sad. : ( I'm sorry about your present!
Dear Ivonne, it doesn't matter where are you from, if you bought something through ebay, the website forces the seller to refund the money. Basically they take money from the seller paypal account, does he like it or not. You have to open a case only and send the picture of your damaged item. It is very easy. It makes me so angry, when a seller doesn't wrap the item properly. I received broken or chipped items through post lots of times. Some people are so thick, they think a heavy pottery can be sent just only wrapped in thin plastic sheet inside a box.
Swfinluv1,thank you for your support.I'm not so much upset already :)
martika, thank you for a clue how it works.I must check it on Allegro where I bought the glasses.
I feel for you, Ivonne. The disappointment is awful and especially if the glass has survived through the decades only to be destroyed by a fool.
I hope you manage to have a happy name day in spite of this
Good luck, Ivonne - nobody should have to settle for such bad packaging and damage.
Peggy, disappointing is truly the best word to describe my feelings.
Efesgirl, I agree but life isn't fair...
Mary, name day is more popular in Poland than birthday, however you can celebrate both if you want :)It's more popular among children.
And fools happen...
So hard to click the "love" for this one but still a little love and condolence for such an unfortunate disaster Ivonne. People who don't know how to pack fragile items have no business selling them on Ebay.
Sad picture for what should be a happy day.
We all send our love even though we can't mend the poor glass.
Karen,Thank you for the comment :)
Today I'm not so sad.Everything 's OK :)
Mikelv,I overlooked your condolence comment...Thnk you for the words of symphaty
