So this was sitting on the top shelf at Saver's this morning. How on Earth did something like this remain in perfect unbroken condition ! I carefully unscrewed the trumpet which made it much easier to carry. This gorgeous "Epergne" is made of beautiful cranberry colored glass with a clear rigaree accent around the trumpet vase. The bowl is rather plain clear glass. It looks like it was pressed into a ruffle shaped mold and has lots of bubbles lines and imperfections in the glass. The only odd thing is the attachments. The one on the vase is brass and the bowl's is silver. Probably a repair at some later date but the threading between the two fits perfectly without binding. Lots of these online some sporting an additional two to three trumpets as well as various other dangles an ornaments. Not sure of a maker or age. Somewhere between the turn of the century and the 20th is my guess and probably Czech glass. -Mike-

I'm starting to think it just takes one employee, one good eye and a ton of good karma to find these gems at GW. Love it!! :)

Thanks for the "love"and comment One :)...I'm still amazed it was donated, processed and put out on the floor without being broken . I have to admit Saver's is a bit more careful than most of the GW's in my area.
