Corner shelf inherited from my grandma. Very lightweight and so much detail! Any info on what type of wood and the time period this was made would be wonderful.

Looks like a Victorian whatnot. Presuming this is genuine, and this one looks in great condition, they are very collectible.
My mom said my grandma had it as long as she can remember, and my mom is 84! So I'm assuming it is old. Thank you for the info!
It's an Etagere. Lovely.
The Victorians wanted every bit of space available for their treasures so they made corner etageres. Google antique corner etagere they are usually VERY elaborate, like your beauty.
Research East Lake and lok under shelves for a white or blue pencil mark. The frame to the right looks like more in value
