This is a embroidery basket holder. It is made using tiny splints from the Black Ash Tree and Sweet Grass is woven in on places on the body of the basket, and the bottom. It measures 6 inches in length and up to one inch at the rounded top of the holder. There is a hollow ring finial, supposedly to hang the holder up somewhere, but it was not done with this one. Otherwise, the finial would have broken off long ago.

I am dating this holder at around 1930, and I put better pics up on this. The weird shadow from the previous pics I put up was bothering me LOL.

    Enjoy the new pics :)
