I love the detailed look & workmanship of the 60's & late 50's Matchbox vehicles.

I am still trying to buy back my childhood.....At 50, it is becoming more expensive each year I age. But what a great way to invest! Cars that I bought years ago for $5 to $20 are worth $20 to $100. I have also found out that many great matchbox vehicles never made to these shores. Hence...Ebay. One year I spent $6,000 (2001). However, if I ever sold them, it was money that was well spent save for the occcassional mis-purchase. Experience teaches you to look for the BP Dodge Tow Truck with reverse colors to reveal a re-paint. I entered a local antique annex here in DE, and saw two red Fiats. You know... The ones with the luggage racks that are usually green. Bought one for $10 and the other for $12. They were GREAT finds. My wife prefers playing the slots.... I would bet on the Matchbox cars anyday!
