Hey everyone!! I just picked this up the other day. I've never seen a thermometer from this era without the white face, so naturally I'm wondering of its authenticity. Has anyone seen one of these with natural face?

Interesting to see one of these, haven't run across one. This would have been a stock plain thermometer which was printed with whatever the customer specified upon order. If you just Google up R. Hoehn Co. wood thermometer you'll see same thermo with different company names. Pretty cool. Also, I found what looks to be an auction record from 2006 for this very piece.
