This is a 1956-D Cent, I received in change in 1966. I was told it was an error. I also was told it was a fake, Who would make a fake penny? Never the less, I was fun to get in change, and for 44 Years, I had an Error.
Let me know what you think? Bad Case of flaking, or Acne. Thanks Joe
The penny is not thinner than any other penny. It fits with a regular penny size, Puzzling, mystery I am perplexed?? This is a fun coin, and an interesting one.
Thanks, Chris
I was intrigued enough to copy the pic and turn it around and around. It's a disaster arright. :-)
It is for this kind of thing, we live.
Did you see mine? Not as quirky as yours but lovable still.
P.S. Sure looks like something was struck over something.
How do I locate your Coin, so I can see it?
It does look like someone struck over it. I wish I could make out what they were trying to make?
I did at a coin show. Two said it was a real find, and 2 said it was fake. Oh well, Who knows.
Oh Gee, Maybe $50,00o.00 Will be Better.
What's 50K to a dead man? :-)
Wow, I could so much before I Go. At least people will be better off.
Umm, I 'll think about that.
Okay be that way. Now I'm going to buried with mine. :-) :-)
I will be buried with mine too. Great Idea. Thanks, Chris
Except for the other part. I'm going to be set afloat in the sea, and I will ten error coins with me. So there.
And what kind of help do you need?
I beleive whoever told you that the penny was fake was wrong. The way I see it, it's real.
There is new info on the Cent. It weights 3.0 Grams, and I was told it should weigh around 3.12 Grams. I do figure the cent is lighter, die to it missing little pieces, as shown. Pieces are missing when it was struck, and the size is the same as other cents. Thanks, the opinion came from a error expert, who ONLY SAW the photo, and did not handle it and see it personally. So I am still not sure, and your opinion is really appreciated I do have a JPG a friend of mine did for me, and you can really zoom in on it. If you are further interested, I can send it to you. Please feel free to send me your e-mail, and I will be glad to send it to you. Thanks, Chris J Steves DinwoodieUSA@verizon.net.
