I came across this in a thrift shop. I think it's pewter. Or maybe silver. It measures 4" tall. The top of it is removeable. Attached to the side is a chain, It looks like a long tooth pick. LOL I was thinking it's some kind of flask, but I just don't know for sure. Any thoughts about this piece would be helpful. Thanks

I'm thinking the same as Dissydave, could also be Bedouin. The top looks as if it had a double chain one to each side of the top. No idea of the tooth pick. I'll be interested in what othe CW members think.
Could we have more thqn one photo please. from different angles, you have room for four photos.
Also, this pic is much too dark. btw pewter is quite a soft metal, and I don't think it would be used to make this object.
The three small cylinders that sit matched vertically on the side, must have held a chain hanger, or a solid post.
Me thinks it's some kind of old silver prayer amulet, which seems also to be missing a lot of "bits". Mmmmm, more research is in my future.
