This is a Silver Bernard Instone Tea caddy spoon. The head is of William Shakespeare, and as you can see the detail is excellent. The bowl is circular, and as been hand hammered. It has Birmingham hallmarks and B.I for Bernard Instone, it was made in the year 1927. I shall put a link below explaining some history of tea caddies.

Oh this is so very good - and Will looks happy. As you say the details are still so clear, and the hallmarks are really nice, (especially the B.I). Could have been made yesterday.

It's just a marvellous, beautiful object and very utilitarian too.
Thank you Gillian, I suppose he does look happy lol, to be honest I'm not sure. There is also another William Shakespeare caddy spoon of B.I . I'll find the link, it looks completely different to this one.
