Anyone able to identify who TR-57 is?
very unique, that's for sure! [;>)
What a very cool brooch, Celiene! Don't know anything about artist marks like this, could be someone else here has some helpful information. :)
Thank you!
I have a thing for Mexican jewelry - LOL
I love it:)
The "T" stands for Taxco.
The "R" is the initial of either the first or last name of the silversmith.
The "57" means that person is the 57th registered silversmith in Taxco.
I was hoping someone knew who that 57th registered person was... : )
You can wear it facing any which way.
He/she would have been the 57th person in Taxco with the last name starting with an 'R'... Alas and alack - I think they may never be identified!
As time passes (I have had this for YEARS) more stuff shows by thie person. I've tried to find it a new home for YEARS, and never any takers! Whoever made it like to work in Silver & Brass in a modern style.
