      These were purchased from an estate in Texas about a month ago.

      Wondering if any one can help with identifying the age and purpose of these foo dogs. They appear to be completely handmade. Are they considered to be Sancai pottery? Are they garden protectors or tiles? My internet searches haven't revealed much in figuring out age or purpose.

      Ok with foo dogs, the female may stand on a puppy and a male a ball both are about security, family and good will. Size matters and they sell well and I love yours.
