When I first saw the photo of this vase I fell in love.
When my partner first saw the photo of this vase he said it looked like someone had vomited glass.
Thing is, I sort of know where he's coming from.
    I still love it.

I'm not going to go into technique here, I'll just let you look at it.

All comments welcome, whether you like it or not.
I think it's going to be a love it : hate it piece.

Tassie Devil I can hear your amazement lol.
After collecting Japanese glass for a while I am inured to the weird and almost expect it, and also expect not everyone likes things as I have learnt to do. It takes training! You might get there some day!...many thanks.

Great to hear from you Vlad...many thanks.

You're so funny! I love all the colors and can't imagine the work that went into it.
    31. racer4four racer4four, 9 years ago
Thanks OGF - glad you appreciate the work in this. There is lots despite the result being messy and out there- that's so Japanese. Either like that, or all anal and perfect.

LOL!!! Love this post. My first reaction was to leave the word "Vomit" and nothing else! But I couldn't do it. I had to throw the laughing in here too! Yep, I'm with him...VOMIT!

Dear Ms Sue , I don't care if you want to share the passion or vomit at my glass. I do care when you laugh maniacally. You might choke and then I won't hear from you again. Regards, Ms Headthingy

A very special vase with a bounty of color, I can see why you love it - the mauve ribboning is gorgeous
    37. racer4four racer4four, 4 years ago
LOL Eileen, as you can see by comments you would not be alone with your feelings regarding this one. Absolutely we should all be honest and I welcome opinions.
Thanks for going through my old posts, it's fun for me to revisit!
    38. racer4four racer4four, 4 years ago
Thanks Jennie! I still love it because it is so Japanese in it's creation, particularly relevant to the 60s when it was made.
I love the ribbon too, it moves it from nice to extraordinary!
